Human Trafficking

Human Trafficking usually involves a van or means of transportation that can transport two or three people, including the leader of the operation, and a couple of handlers- one whom definitely will be a female.

Traffickers will advertise a party or event that will attract young people between the ages of 14 – 18 by promoting that an entertainer, “Rapper/Singer” will be there, advertising a good time.   It will be held at a hotel or motel, or at a venue that encourages the younger generation to attend, and no identification will be required.

Drugs and alcohol will be supplied, and then the traffickers will move in on their prey to start the dialogue.  These traffickers' prey upon young girls and boys who display low self-esteem, are poverty-stricken, and come from broken homes with little or no supervision. 

Money will be spent on the victims to enhance their outward appeal and lead them into the debt of their trafficker.

In scant moments, the traffickers will have the victims shoplifting, picking pockets for cash, and credit cards for fraud.

 With the victims being removed from their home areas, new rules will be announced. No cellphone use, don’t talk to anyone, have sex with whom we say.  If these rules are broken, the victims will receive abusive physical punishment.

Most of these victims will end up addicted to drugs and prostitution.  Some victims make it out, but not enough.

We need to educate the youth who are easily enticed by the flash of money and false promises.
